Is there any way to turn off the elapsed time counter on the rear display during bulb exposures .. pressing the disp button turns it off for the rest of the current exposure but it comes back on again at the start of the next ....

I suppose I could RTFM...

But maybe in the morning ....

Cheers Brendan it does work.... want to minimise the "heat" generated in the camera during long exposures... Battery life wasnt an issue as I run them from dummy batts with external 12V to 7.4V regs....

The 350D does the elapsed on the LCD and I hadn't noticed the 1000D doing it although thinking about it I always turn the display off on that... before running it from EOS Utils...
