1.25" UV/IR cut filter

Hi

Ive done a coupel of sessions now on both Mars and Saturn (im getting there slowly) I did not get a 1.25" UV/IR cut filter for my SPC 9000, is it worth investing in, will my images really benefit ?

Probably, aklthough there is a lot of detail in Mars in the IR band.... I have to say I am amazed at the different amount of you get with different LRGB/IR filters on Mars.

usign an IR pass filter is a differnet ball game though... as your then blocking out the "visible" and allowing a decently focused image to be obtained in the IR...
