M51 from tillshead "S.P.O.G"

I wasn't going to be doin any astrophotography last night but, I managed to get the M51 in the eyepiece... looked pretty good so i said "what the hell" and took a photo anyway.. this was only 5 x 2min exposures no darks or flats.. there is some star trails as i didn't align it properly but what the hoo

Yeah mars did look damn amazing the other night.. think i'll leave the sketches to you mate as i cant even draw stick men hehe.

In responce to Resonator i used my signature setup with an ISO of 800 and 5x2m exposures, no darks flats or anything, i didnt even set my mount up properly so it was just on the off-chance it would work lol.

Having seen you take pictures before, I can only say that you have a magic touch. You slap a camera onto the scope and great pictures fall out. I dread to think what you'd produce if you started getting into all that darks and flats malarcky!
