First Mars for me !

About time too! - I finally have my observatory and scope assembled and working! So a quick Mars sketch from last night. I don't remember ever sketching Mars as a youngster so I reckon this is a first for me.

Coloured pencil, blending stump and smudgy finger! Processed using GIMP for the black background.

That is what Mars looked like to me most of the time.

At x375 there was a hint of darker patches nearer the centre of the disc.

Nice one . Mars is showing its more challenging side for detail at the mo in the evenings. You did well to pull out what you did.
