Wow....you can see so much detail in the fracturing of the floor thats amazing!

What equipment do you use in the way of barlow etc?

Have a look at mine...long way to go but would like to produce images like yours...help :-(

Thanks for looking David. This was captured with a Lumenera SkyNyx 2.1 camera (with red filter) attached direct, no Barlow. Seeing wasn’t too good at dusk yesterday so I guessed Barlowed images would not have been too successful. Only reason my image is sharper than yours is because you’ve been capturing with a dslr. A single frame capture of lunar detail on a dslr is always going to be hampered by atmospherics. The Lumenera, like a webcam, takes a stream of images which are stacked to create a final, higher quality, composite. Move to a webcam, stack in Registax, you will see the difference.

Used to use a toucam pro II but never got on with it at all...images always came out very poor indeed :-(
