The Warthog
OK, I went out in my mag 2.5 skies last night, and did everything I could to get M27 in the scope. Nada. It's at the zenith, practically, the clearest part of the sky. I can see Albireo only with averted vision, and I used the Dec and RA offsets to get to where it should be, then did a little perimeter search. Nichts. I moved the RA and Dec dials back to Albireo, hit it bang on. Moved off again. Looked for it. Rien! I gave up then, and subsequently failed to locate M56 or the ring. I think I should move to Kapuskasing.
