SGL & Google Searches

Anyone else noticed that SGL comes up really high on Google searches?

I find quite often when I'm searching for something I've been discussing on here my own post comes up on the front page, a few times even the first link.

Examples:

Search for "ccd commander plate solving" (3rd & 4th links)

ccd commander plate solving - Google Search

Search for "48mm filter thread adaptor" (2nd link)

48mm filter thread adaptor - Google Search

Search for "NGC7000 Ha" (7th link)

NGC7000 Ha - Google Search

I wonder why that is? Is Google being smarter than I think? I'm using Chrome so maybe it knows my browsing patterns?

There was I thinking it's because it's the biggest, best informed, most comprehensive source of astronomy information on the net.

SGL has an extremely impressive google rating. Grant spends a lot of time making things "just so" for google...

It still surprises me though.

Ironic that the country most of our scopes come from these days might not be able to Google us soon.
