Software Guru's Anyone tried a seeing alarm!!

After seeing some threads relating to getting visual results when observing planets, is there some bright spark that can utilise a guide cam and software to trigger a good seeing alarm ?

Could this be done with the focus/quality of image and stability/tracking in things like Guide dog or PHD....etc then trigger an audible alarm with a flashing box...etc

It would be nice to know if seeing has improved and you're all setup for Astrophotography to quickly have the option to go visual - to appreciate the better seeing and views with the eye when conditions are right

Sounds doable. It should be possible to detect increased coherence (using e.g., mutual information) between frames, and simultaneous increased information content. I would care to estimate how much CPU-time this would hog.

That should certainly work on stars, but would it work on more extended/complicated sources?
