ARGGG dss help please

i have been having problems with stacking i took 29 exsposures at 20sec and they look fine but when i stack them the picture is just black so i tryed with just 10 photos and it just came out as verticle lines

i really have no idea what im doing diffrent

Are you sure that they are just black?

Try saving the picture then open it up in a photo editing program. Try adjusting the brightness/contrast and see how you get on.

Lee, that sounds quite normal. The image data is there, just compressed into the left hand side of the image and needs stretching. Have a look at the stretching the histogram tutorial on here in the tips and tricks section.

The vertical lines in the final stacked image sounds like you ran out of memory. Ensure you have disabled 2x or 3x drizzle, as this option can eat a lot of memory. How much memory do you have in the machine you are using to stack with?
