My 80mm Revelations standard spec

With Ref to my 80mm Revelations standard spec - I have been advised to go for the William Optics full APO upgrade as the front cell would be far better than selling it and buying the telescope house new Revelations model for £399 But will my 80mm Revelations, after the said upgrade have a better limiting magnitude ? and how much of an improvement will I see? thanks orion

The limiting magnitude will be identical as the aperture doesn't change. However your colour correction and therefore contrast will improve. You'll see exactly the same thing, but it will look better.

'would be far better' is relative.

The image should appear cleaner, brighter, with more contrast and acutence. I would guess the difference 'visually' will be seen as a refinement more than a substantial upgrade ... if that makes sense. It should also be able to take greater magnification.
