Mars after M42

After my guidescope failure and M42 exploits (see imaging-deep sky), I decided to video Mars. No barlow, just the C8 and a very bubbly sky, Mars still a bit low. I could see no detail through the EP. However, feeling in my fingers were just a memory due to the cold, so just took a couple of quick 500 frame videos. About half were 'good' and here is the result. Can just make out some features, and perhaps a polar region, but maybe its just my imagination. I've tried my x3 Tal barlow, but I'm never quite happy with the results. Always looks a bit soft or fuzzy. I think what I need is a very high quality x2 eg Televue. Mmm Santa!
