Hi Daren,

Do you use Stellarium? It's a free program that is really user friendly and lets you 'fast forward' and 'rewind' time to get the relative positions of stars and planets at particular dates and times. You can find it here: Stellarium

For the time being, look South-east at around 5:30am and you will see Saturn in Virgo, here's a screengrab I took from Stellarium for you.

Let us know how you get on as the year goes on, and Virgo rises a little earlier, Saturn will be around at a better (more sociable time). Hope that helps

Right now it starts rising in my location at 3am and is high enough to observe before sunrise. It will rise earlier in the next months.

In my Starry Night Pro saturn is rising in leo at present around midnight same as leonids in the london area

Does anybody know if starmap pro for iPhone is any good?

is that the £11 app? I use Starwalk and really enjoy it and it was considerably cheaper than Starmap (about £6).
