what is the diffrence between using a 1.25 and a 2 inch adpter on my 1000d other than size

When you use the smaller 1.25" adaptor you may get some vignetting of the CCD chip, this won't happen with the 2".

( Vignetting is where some of the light from the edge of the mirror/ objective gets blocked from reaching the camera due to the small size of the tube.)
