Finally got to image this before it left the disc. Some breaks in the cloud this morning so got these in the sucker holes.

H-alpha - PST-B90 @ f/15 DMK21 camera 5 pane mosaic.

White light - Celestron 100ED at f/30, DMK21 camera.

Granulation is amazing and just shows how big those sunspots actually are. John.

Sorry youre gonna miss it Nick, hopefully though this is just the first of many.

Ian - IMHO the Sun is the most exciting thing to study in amateur astronomy. Everything changes day to day and sometimes hour to hour.

John, Yeah I think the "white light" image beats the H-Alpha this time too.
