Doing my 1000D Baader modification tonight

From what I've heard there's also zero amp glow with the 1000D.

fantastic, now that I am serious imaging, amp glow was my major issue as wanted subs over 5 mins for those different than normal faint objects.

Good to hear, main reason I bought it.

grrrrr messed up the shutter action when took apart.

Just had to dis assemble and sort it and now all fixed

Just been playing with Live View via PC. Should make focusing much easier and all via 1 USB cable

I love this camera so far.

Ive done up to 10 minute exposures with the 1000D...zero amp glow.

LP is my limiting factor now even with the CLS I wont go above 7 minutes.

more good news, amp glow on the 350 was bad after 3 mins, hence the change.

Rubber hand Dust Blower

Might be better buying a tin of air duster from

maplin (or somwhere else) as that way you can give it a good

blast just before reassembly after a job like this.

Took a couple of 1/100th second test shots with no lense against a white card and didn't notice any specks on the sensor.

So far so good.
