Opticron binoculars

Does anyone have experience with the Opticron 15x70 Oregon Observation or the Opticron 20x70 Oregon LER porro prism binoculars?

I know they arent what your are after but I have the 10x50 Opticron Imagix and they are totally fantastic - if I were buying a bigger pair ( and I will be as soon as I sell the Nexstar 4SE) I would be looking at Opticron as the first base.

Just FYI, both these models are now discontinued (last sales were in July this year on the 11x70 Oregon, Nov 2008 on the 20x70 and 15x70 LERs). Might still be some stock in retailers but otherwise I'd think it will only be second-hand units around.

Unfortunately they sold in quite small quantities (hence being discontinued) so you might struggle to get feedback from users in here :-(

Opticron is now only promoting its higher priced Observation models (11x80, 15x80 or 20x80) in either standard or waterproof spec. Price is £319 or £419.
