Taken with Celestron Neximage on a SW 127 Mak, 90 secs/900 frames sequence.

Conditions not very good, and this is my first attempt with the Neximage webcam capture.

Prosessed the best I could in Registax 5 (and not the Celestron version!), I think roughly 600/900 frames were used. I'm still learning Registax.

I've attached a single frame (one of the better ones), and the stacked one (150% Resize). I was suprised that anything would come out of it, but there is definetivly some good banding going on.

Am I doing the capture right? Also, surely there must be a better software than AmCrap for capture? Ideas? What are the ideal setting for the capture filter, is it a little under exposed?

That's not a bad first attempt.

I've never used the capture software you mention but I and many others use K3CCDTools. Give it a try.

nice attempt n scope

i use K3CCD for capture, n Registax 4 for stacking n wavelets

had blue and yellow effect at edge aswell after stacking

found if u go to RGB tab and click on estimate it seems to take this away

I will give K3CCDTools a try. AmCap came with the Neximage (an MS software).
