Nice prom today 8 October

There was no surface activity that I could see. The prom is just visible in this image.

Here is the same prom at firstly 13:08 BST

I'm hoping that someone with more aperture has caught this one.

These are great images Dave....

I was observing these very prominences today at around 12.30pm.

I also observed a CME at 9Oclock on the solar disc and a few other prominences, at 7Oclock , 12Oclock & 4Oclock......

Great Detail here Dave. Look closely between the 2 prom images and you'll see -

A small fan shaped eruption appear above the upper large prom

Activity between the 2 proms increased during the 2 hours

The rather active plume below the large bright prom has completely switched off.

This is what makes the Sun so fascinating - all this in just a couple of hours - great stuff Dave
