problem with dsi + barlow

tried my luck at imaging jupiter last night all fine with out the barlow though very small . when using the barlow i had loads of black dots on screen, i checked the lens and barlow for dust and all clean. so i think it must be the ccd chip, how do i clean the ccd ?

Carefully!

Try an air blast to dislodge any heavy dust particle ( Don't blow on it with your mouth! use a photographic blower). If that doesn't work enough; because the DSI chip is so small I just use a earbud damped with isopropyl alcohol ( lens cleaner!) give it a wipe in one direction ( throw away the bud) and then a drying wipe with another bud... may have to repeat a couple of times.

Only use the moistened bud ONCE - then throw away.
