PS4 Extended - cant open DSS Images

Hi

So ive just about learnt how to register and stack in DSS, ive got myself PS4 Extended Im unable to open the file created by DSS, I have 4GB of Memory and over 500Gb of Disc space spare but PS4 simply says cant open image because there is not enough memory do I really need more memory

The file created by DSS is 105MB - is there a function in DSS where i can create a smaller file without losing data that I guess I will need in PS4 ?

are you manually saving the image as a 16-bit TIFF, and trying to load that?

Thanks that works

A 16 bit tif file size 80mb works fine

A 32 bit tif file size 165mb works fine

Autosave format when I stack in DSS produces a tif file of 100mb but that wont load

Anyway if 16bit is ok thats fine

It looks very different once its in photoshop - guess there is more reading ahead ?

My CS4 should open a 32bit file no worries, although you will have to convert it to do curve stretches etc.

You must me manually saving it wrongly.

Does the Autosave work ok?

The autosave file simply wont opn in PS4, PS4 says there is not enough RAM

What is the ideal format for PS4 to use ?

Can I set the Autosave in DSS to be the correct format ?

Yes it will look a 'LOT' darker.

Darker, yes i guess it is bit its very odd looking, I assume its beacuse in PS im not looking at the whole image, i need to learn PS I guess ?

that helped thanks, by saving as a 16 bit Tiff PS4 will now open it and sees it as a 16bit RGB Picture so im sort of on the way I think ?

Thanks to all who helped me today, I can now register and stack images, i can even load them correctly into PS4 (needed new drivers for my graphics card)
