Im new, is it Jupiter

Hi im new to stargazing so im looking at the at moon at 22.45 from Whyteleafe (south of croydon)through my 10x50 Binos and to the right of it around 150Deg (with 180 being due south) and lower in the sky there is an incredibly bright star with a very faint object at its 5 oclock (in the Binos its about half a centimeter away. Sorry if im not using standard way of describing locations (sure i will get better at this)

Yes it is and the faint dot is one of its moons.
