Has anyone or still is a member of the Shropshire Astro Club? If so would you recommend it, im thinking of joining.

Hi Steve, I am still a member and will be hoping to go to the 12th Sept session weather permitting, as I am quite a distance from Roddington I don't go if it isn't clear. The Ford site is nearer but there are no facilities except a dark site in a field although the Caravan site owner is very friendly and makes cuppas.

Hi Pete, thanks for that not that local for me either, about 30min drive but seemed the best one around. Is it a nice mix? visual talks social etc.

Steve, they were a nice bunch, priorites right, tea and biccys available in the Centre usual mix of friendly people, sessions finishes around 11-12, I am 1 hour away so a bit of a hike and not worth it for me if cloudy, but good site for observing.

30 mins is ideal for a club meeting.

I'm tempted to go along to the talk this Friday at the Gateway in Shrewsbury.
