I know what you mean.

I've just been outside, and although relatively clear and probably will stay that way, the light to the north (my main aspect) is like daylight!!!

I can see the new moon, Jupiter low in the SE and saturn hiding behind low clouds to the west. Unfortunatly for the first time in a while, i've been the pub and am half (3/4?) cut. So instead i have a glass of whiskey and a porkpie with pickles. Seems like a good night, but i know tomorrow will be cloudy just to spite my socialising.

I was out stargazing last night  set up at ten ish pm seeing was rubbish until midnight then it was somewhat better at times but still lots of cloud cover always tending to be in an area where I wanted to be observering  saw one very spectacular meteor 2 or 3 others not so good  eventually I got some good views of Jupiter pretty sure I could see 7 of her moons 4 below 3 above but thats inverted,  some small time periods of good seeing occurred I got a peak at Pluto about 2.30am    saw half a dozen Globs 3 or 4 Neb's  3am just as I thought it getting too light again the clouds rolled in as if on cue

been that long since we had got any chance of observing in I had forgotten how good it felt which is just what I needed  as things have not been happy on the health front with me  thats another story and I will have the either good news or bad news on that in the morning  at the Chest Clinic when I get to see the Doc  for the results but as I say thats another story

Suffice to say am eagerly awaiting my next obs night  :D

"may your nightskies be clear peeps although short."   :D
