Milamber
This week a bit odd, managed to get ahold of a PST (old type, cool!) and a ZS66 I have been eyeing up for a while... I originally sold it to Vince and this week I finally wore him down enough to get it back! Both beasties here on the DS, which is ideal for them. Milamber
But let us not forget the wide-angle 300D - that dismally failed to catch a Perseid this year because of the clouds. Never mind, nice and wide for other stuff!ArthurPS - this is the 38 to 75 or something lens... not the silly-wide 18-55 ... at least it's silly-wide with this fish-eye adapter thingie anyway! This current combination gives me about 100 degrees or so. Plenty good enough and almost sensible!

Milamber
Thanks Mick - they'll certainly keep me busy until it's worth wheeling the PIP out. I know they all small toys but they're fun, fast and simple.Ohh... those like nice Arthur. God I hate you... now I want one!!!Don't do it! Had to strip the PST in the week cos the prism was cackeyed, reset that and it was cloudy until today. Got the PST out... clouds. Got the widefield rig out to do some HDR images of the clouds, and they went flat grey. Got the ZS out to test it on the far trees... started to rain. I nearly went back to bed...Arthur

Rob
Did the DS mount need any adjust ment to take the dovetail?. I like that setup!. Nice grab n go
Milamber
Rob, it came with the bracket, I just bolted through with a camera clampy-bolt thing into the ZS foot. I do have an MM-3D clamp that screws on to the bracket to allow fitting of dovetail-mount kit (like the 114mm f/5 reflector I used as a finder for Big Blue for example)The DS though does indeed seem to be perfectly matched and it kept the Sun in the 18mm EP through the PST for maybe 75 minutes yesterday with a very rudimentay set up (levellish and northish, turn on, press yes to everything, point at Sun, leave). I sits well on the Redsnapper too...Arthur
