Flashing light

Was having a look around last night when i noticed a light that seemed to be in orbit just below and left of cassiopia,

it blinked on average at about 25 second intervals but was only on for about half a second,

didn't seem to move very much so was wondering if could have been a satellite.

did anyone else notice this at bout 11.30ish pm.

Its more likely that it was a bit of a Chinese satellite or space junk of some description. These things are just tumbling around and what you see is a reflection that flashes on each turn.

I have seen such as you describe in a similar orbit (sort of Polar), and since the Chinese blew up a weather satellite :) I've seen them quite often.

Hi could be as it was in geosync orbit by the looks of things as it did not seem to change position much,

was not visible to the naked eye and could only see through my 25x100 bins,

will have another look when the clouds depart again.

many thanks ron.s.g
