Worst ever astro purchase?

So what have been your biggest bloopers? So far I have got off pretty lightly but my universal digiscope adaptor has been about as much use as a chocolate fireguard. Closely followed by a Firefly Planisphere which can't be read in the dark with a red light.

For some reason a few years back I sold a 8" f6 Dob so I could buy a EQ mounted 150mm f5 refractor.....it just didn't work out,

The worst item for me was a Meade of axis guider.

Not that it was faulty or anything its just that i couldnt see through it.

Sold it on and the guy who bought it loves it.

Mmmmmmmmm a Orion 6" Dobsonian F/5 although normally these are excellent scopes the one i bought was total and utter rubbish, looking over the scope after wondering why it was pint's i discovered the Mirror was Spherical all right too blinking round more like a fruit bowl of engineering than a polished mirror .

Sent the scope back and got some eyepieces instead
