By the light of the silvery moon....

Recommended Posts

...I finally got to see 73P-B fragment :D

I had given up looking this evening, so I picked up the bino's to sweep through Cygnus to Lyra - lifted the bino's to the heavens and locked straight onto the fragment!!!

Back to the scope and after 10 mins hunting, finally got to see it through the EP!!!

A nice head of light with a long, silvery tail flowing behind - not very contrasty but with the moon so bright it's no wonder!!!

1 down, several more to go!!!

Congrats Daz,

If you saw it thru binoculars then I guess it must be the one that had an increase in magnitude recently - whichever that one was...

I havent seen a long silvery tail yet - something to aim for :D
