Forgotten art of using the eyepieces

Ibbo!

Recommended Posts

After the aborted launch of the shuttle I stuck my nose out of the door and lo and behold it had cleared up

As a confirmed imager I have not looked through the eyepieces for a while.

Friday night was different at the society I had taken the Tak FS60 and the SW 80 Pro and had an enjoyable night showing a few bits and bobs to a couple of newbies.

As I am changing the configuration of the scopes I had not set up for imaging and what with watching NASA Tv decided to have a quick look through the eyepiece again

Of course it was the big lad calling me to the SE

I upped the mag with the Tak 102 and numerous belts appeared and a transit

I guessed Io

which I confirmed a few moments ago

This eyepiece malarkey could catch on :)

where has the summer gone

there I was, t shirt & shorts as usual and feeling a bit chilly

oh yes I forgot I'm usually inside watching the monitor instead of standing still looking through several pieces of glass

:headbang: Absolutely!

Congrats on your sighting, btw. ;)

Tshirt and shorts... at night... in July? :)

Unheard of in my neck of the woods.

It was 6.5C at the Starpad at midnight, lol.

Keeps the skeeters down, though. :)
