First Planetary Image in years!

Well, the C8 needed a workout on a Planet - Jupiter was up early this morning, so I shot 100 0.1 second x RGB with the SXV-H9. Unfortunately, I didn't remove the .63 Focal Reducer, so its a bit small.

Still - its been a long while since I shot a planet! I'll have to crank up the webcam and the barlow next time.

Richie, that is brilliant lovely banding and great distinction between the zones and belts. Be interesting to see the outcome when you crank up webcam and barlow

Well - I tried the webcam and barlow this morning - it was Rubbish!

I couldn't get a bright enough star to use the bahtinov on - mainly because I can't seem to control the exposure length. Ah well - I am sure that once I figure out how to focus the webcam properly, things will improve. In the meantime, I might just have another go with the H9 and barlow
