set up for young person

New to all this but getting inertested as I have time on my hand.

I am putting together a telescope with mount for my grandson

so far I have an EQ3-2 motorised mount with tripod.

Celestron Nexstar 60SLT OTA.

I have a finderscope from my old SW150.

now looking for which size eye pieces would you sugest to give him a reasonable start.

Hello,

The C60 has an upper mag limit of around x120.

I would suggest three eyepieces :-

25mm = x28 - low power for wide sweeping views of starfields, comets.

10mm = x70 - for Messiers, Lunar and larger planets.

6.3mm = x111 - Lunar and larger planets.

Tal do a reasonable range of Plossl eyepieces and Orthoscopic eyepieces are good too.
