M13 without triangles

Hi, a couple of pics of M13 one full frame other cropped, I re-collimated my SNT and reduced the pressure of the locking screws, and the triangular stars, shown in earlier post have gone.

Night of 30-31/05/09

Equipment:- Canon 1000D unmodded, 1600 ISO, Baader MPCC, no filters: Meade 10" SNT unguided : 39 x 1min + 40 x 30secs. No Darks or Flats.

A super result there Pizza. Tightly bound opticts are a sure fire nono mate. It is surprising how much of a detrimental effect it can have on your image.

Well done on getting rid of the triangular stars - pinched optics are a real pain as there is almost a compromise to reached on holding solidly but not pinching!
