SGL 2024 Challenge 4 - Walking on the Moon

Many apologies for the delay in announcing the results for this challenge.  Cycling around Burgundy got in my way!

As expected we had some phenomenal high resolution images bringing the moon onto our doorstep.  As is so often the case, judging was subjective and it would have been easy to pick a complete different set of winners.  So apologies to those of you who submitted some stunning images who didn't get the nod

1) Kon - Craters at the Southern side of the moon

A stunning image with superb resolution.  The shadowy detail of the craters to the right of the image is wonderful.  Kon has flipped the image on it's had for a better perspective.  The sort of view you might have had from the Lunar Module

2) Lucas_M - Plato Crater and Mons Pico

Another high definition image beautifully picking out the mare craters

3) chKim - Mare Imbrium

chKim submitted 3 superb high definition colour images.  This mare image shows the colouration to best effect

Superb, this was the image that stunned me when I saw it first, reminded me too of film from a LM.

Thanks for selecting my image. There have been some excellent images despite the poor seeing the past few months. Congratulations to @Lucas_Mand @chKimfor excellent images too.
