John
I see in a post some supernovas are visible in a large scope (ngc4088?). Is there a web site that lists currently visible novas?MarkWe managed to catch a glimpse of Supernova 2009dd in NGC4088 at the SGL4 Starparty last month. It took superb conditions, Alex's 12" dobsonian and my Ethos 13mm eyepiece to get a definate sighting but it was there Quite a thrill - my 1st visual supernova in 30 years in the hobby !.JohnPS: Also, Andrew knew where NGC4088 was which helped (though I'm sure Alex did as well) !
