Galaxies or clusters

Recommended Posts

Globular Clusters are dense star associations surrounding a Galaxy.

All the Clusters we see are part of our own Milky Way,

Galaxies are millions of times larger and far more complex!

Hope this helps.

As already said.... the main difference is that all the clusters we see are within, and part of, our own Galaxy the Milky Way. Whereas Galaxies are... well other galaxies and therefore vastly further away.

Another big difference is the number of stars involved. I believe most clusters contain in the region of hundreds, or thousands of stars... whereas galaxies can contain trillions.
