Future polar alignment help needed

I have just read that in the year 20346ce, Thuban will reclaim the title of the Earths North star. I have just got polar alignment "down to a t" and now, apparently, it's all change. I understand it will not be a sudden switch from Polaris to Thurban, which means my polar alignment is going to be off. No wonder my images are garbage, how do you all get over this problem?

Depends how you are Polar Aligning.

With a polarscope, most have a year scale for compensating for Polaris's shift.

If you run out of years then you can guesstimate.

After all the polarscope is only really good enough for visual.

If you have a PC based tool, I don't know if they even use Polaris.

You are likely to say:

"Alexa, polar align and focus my scope on M42 and image for 4 hours. And don't forget to use the cloud removal filter"

And of course add "Please"  as bio AI appreciates good manners.

You forgot one thing. The future 'Alexa' will be customisable. Mine will say, with that typical Dirty Harry voice (yes, I'm old enough to remember that): "D'you feel lucky, punk? It sure looks mighty cloudy from where I stand."
