Just settling to watch a recorded episode of the 1960's Avengers.

Series 5, episode 1. From Venus With Love. This telescopes was shown. It would be interesting if it could be identified. Wonder if it's still in use today?

It looks more like a 5 inch than a 4. 

The brass focuser reminds me of Sir Patrick Moore's Cooke 5 inch:

I can unreservedly recommend the Simpsons’ episode: ‘Bart of Darkness’, for lots of telescope-derived entertainment. ‘Bart Discovers a Comet’ too, though it’s not quite up to the peak of the former.
