Permanent Observatories make you lazy

I was playing around with my RASA8 on an EQ6 the other night with a view to taking it with me on  a short break to the Norfolk coast. I set it up on the patio and then proceeded to Polar align it with Sharpcap. I tried for ages but Sharcap refused to plate solve even though there were dozens of stars in the FOV. I was getting very frustrated and checked everything until I happened to look at the pointers on Ursa Major and realised I was pointing the mount at Kochab instead of Polaris!

That's not because of having an observatory; that's because of the permacloud.
