Battery re-entry - Did anyone see this?

wonders what the batteries are made of, hopefully low contamination risk of them burning in the atmosphere. Also wonders if they'll ever start some eco-centric processes to recycle stuff like this as so far space shots have been anything but.

According to wiki entry the current batteries are Lithium Ion. This was an upgrade from Nickel-hydrogen.

Since they are lithium ion does that mean if they hit you it would qualify as a salt and battery?
