Short data set on M33

Messier 33, The Triangulum Galaxy.
This is the third of my wine night pics and the one that surprised me the most.
Only a tiny 35 minutes of data and yet it still gives up lovely detail.

The Triangulum Galaxy is one of the closest of our galaxy neighbours at a mere 2.73 million light years from earth.
Our local group of galaxies consists of M33, M31 the Andromeda Galaxy and our own Milky Way. They are gravitationally bound and headed our way.
Look forward to a spectacular collision in about 4 billion years.

That's nice!

I could crunch the numbers but, I guess that M33 isn't an easy object from NZ?

Absolutely right…..I have a fairly nasty northern outlook from my place….street lights, houses etc and M33 never gets above about 20 degrees…..hence my surprise and smile 😊
