November 17, 2023: First planetary images for AGES

Recommended Posts

The weather finally relented, and the skies cleared (despite Clear Outside suggesting 50%+ cloud cover). I set up the C8 with ASI183MC camera to grab what I could. Saturn was low over the trees so I gunned for that first.  Seeing was not good, but I shot 10,000 frames and got a half-decent result

Not great but better than nothing. First Saturn image in over a year.

I then turned to Jupiter, which was higher in the sky, but still showed very poor seeing.

Not hopeless, and the first Jupiter in over 11 months.
