Saturn - Ring Artefacts introduced by Winjupos

Hello Astro Folks

I was wondering what causes artifacts in Winjupos, and how to avoid / fix them.

Below is an image of Saturn, which shows them. I had derotated a videostream, tried it a few times, yet these artifacts persist.

The only time I have seen something like it was with Jupiter when I got the reference date/ time wrong; sometimes it calculates it for me but others not so I I had used an old reference. It might be the cause. Others might have better ideas.

Thanks, Kon, shouldn't be that, though, as I have Winjupos filename enabled in Firecapture.

Not sure what is causing your issue. I've copied a reply I gave on your CN thread.

Unless you have a alt/az mount it's probably not worth bothering with video derotation. Have you tried derotation of images instead? You could capture shorter videos and combine the stacks in Derot of images.
Saturn being so low in the UK even with a alt/az mount the field rotation is going to be minimal.
