Sun Pillar - The Cairngorms - 31st May 2023

This was sunrise last week in The Cairngorms, Scotland. A temperature inversion covering most of the north east of Scotland rolled the clouds in overnight with the added bonus of the sun pillar as the sun rose.  The first image is taken close to the summit of Carn Liath and the second above Carn Liath using a DJI Mini 3 Pro drone.

Beautiful, one of my favourite places on Earth. I have the same drone, it's a brilliant bit of kit.
