Travel Telescope Skywatcher Heritage Which one?

Recommended Posts

Hi Stargazers

I want to buy a telescope to take on the plane in a carry on bag to Portugal. I have been looking at reviews and I am looking at the Skywatcher Heritage 100p and the Skywatcher Heritage 130p or 150p. (150p is pushing the budget!) I can't decide which one as there are pros and cons for both types.

I am a amateur. i have a celeston astro fi at home but although i live in a village, it is near Milton Keynes...it is not dark even at night! So i would like to have one in Portugal and hopefully see more in the darker skies

I am happy with a table mount although would like a choice of both so i could buy a tripod in Portugal.

Please help! Any advice? Or is there another recommendation for a small telescope i can take on the plane?

Many Thanks!

You will have to buy the mount as well as a tripod to mount using the dovetail.

Yep I should of added a mount being needed too. Unless they were buying a tripod and mount like I thought. Blame the early Monday morning thing and brain not fully functioning yet 😁
