Ha filter fogged image

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have an Atik 314l CCD with the Atik filter wheel. My latest images of the Rosetta nebular in narrow band. The Ha filter the image appears to be fogged. The OIII and the SII have allot more detail on them. Is it possible clean or dry the Ha filter? I have also attached a Ha image of M42 which does have more detail but this was taken 4 days earlier.

Many thanks Peter

These examples may help, they are single stretched subs of Ha SII & OIII from my past saved images using the same CCD sensor... seem much like yours but in a different order!

It's easy to mix up the Ha & SII filters as they can have a similar appearance once fitted & looking at them down the tube of a scope.
