6 Day Moon

Had a great time last night, the sky was cloudless for once!.

Taken with a Nikon D70 and Skymax 127 at prime focus.

After snapping the Moon for a year now, this is about the best I can achieve with this setup.

Nice image.

I have become interested in photoshop and find that the image> adjustments> shadows/highlights works well on the moon. It brings out a bit more of the terminator without blowing out the rim.

Give it a try, move the sliders and you can save an option that seems to work well.
