Nov 2nd - Jupiter double transit, shadow and GRS

Almost a repeat of the incredible doubel transit of October 26th. 
We have Europa and Ganymede, almost lined up together with Europa's shadow appearing first then, much later, followed by Ganymede.

Thanks, I missed the double transit on 26/10 as I was travelling, so fingers crossed for that I have clear skies for this event...🤞

Let's hope so! There is another double transit a week or so after this but Jupiter will be long below the horizon before the tranist completes, so this might be the best show we have for the rest of this year.

Tvm for the heads up, looks a good one. The night before is also nice with the GRS and Io almost coincident as they transit. Surely the Weather Gods will give us some clear sky....

The Spanish Gods have already given the thumbs down. Day 15 here with clouds and at least 6 more to come. Missed all the Jupiter action 😭

Well, looks like I am going to miss it due to awful weather hitting us that day. 
Tonights Io transit will do nicely, expected to be clear and a hole in the jet stream so hopefully some better than average seeing to allow for barlowed imaging.
