well i got back from french,

it was nice in total 4 clear nights, but a bit broken setup ( my setup was pushed down by the wind )

but here some results.

M42 27minut exposure(3 min subs ) on iso 1000 with the 40D and 8'' F4 with MPCC

the subs looked awefull so i left the mount without putting the object back in place ( shame ), i also forgot darks but i will manage that later ( will put an less exposured image for the center asap, i am still on holiday )

M51 same settings:same exposure. ( finaly i could find a guidestar )

random pic 90 sec eposure with 1D mark II and 17-40 on F4 iso 1000

300sec exposurewith the 40D and 17-40 piggy back from my counterweight shaft

Thats gonna be a great M42, just look at all that faint stuff near the running man.

Peter: the dec axis from the g-11 is bended, and the newton ota has some damage ( tube rings also broken )
