Will the telescope focus with a bahtinov mask larger than the lens?

I just got an Explore Scientific 80ED refractor and i have a bahtinov mask for my six inch reflector that fits perfectly on the dew shield of my new refractor but the actual lens is smaller than the dew shield. Will it still achieve focus? (i can’t test it right now because my dslr adapter is still being delivered and it’s cloudy)

Should focus ok I would think.

Yes, so long as the mask is centred on the objective,  it should produce the correct image pattern to allow you to get good focus.
