Rodd
Anothger tough project for me. If the sky were clear on more nights I would definitely have collected about twice as much data....but alas, that hasn't been the case for over a year. The challenge for me with this one was maintaining the faint outer glow of the galaxy while keeping a decent background. This galaxy is huge but very far away compared to the nearby galaxies M101, M51, M31, M33, M106, Fireworks, M63, and IC 342 (83 million light years)--so the color is a bit muted. I would have liked to collect copius data to pick up the blue star making regions and even some ha--which I did not collect. This is the best I can do with the data C11Edge with .7x reducer and ASI 1600--OAG, 15 hours of 120 sec LRGB subs, Bin 2.
