STELLINA & comet C/2017 PANSTARSS

Recommended Posts

Hello all. I just wanted to test my stellina on a comet. It’s not bad for a first attempt. But it wasn’t really tracking the comet, just the RA and Dec I input.

Bortle 9 sky, hazy conditions and very humid @25 C.

290 secs @ 10s subs,

That is really good. I would use that image as a good example of what a comet looks like through the EP.
I am not dising your image, I would be proud of taking that.

I have shown a few non Astro people the night sky, and they are used to Hubble pictures off the web. Your stack is a genuine pictorial record of what I saw two weeks ago.👍Bravo.

Marvin,

thanks for the nice comments. I was going to have another go, with a longer exposure but as luck would have it, it’s now behind trees.
clear skies,
